Perseids Meteor Shower 2026
About the event
The 2026 Perseid meteor shower will peak on the night of August 12–13, 2026, offering ideal viewing conditions. A new moon ensures completely dark skies, allowing for high visibility, with the best viewing time being the predawn hours of August 13. Observers can expect up to 50–100 meteors per hour.

- 11:20 PM - Talk: Perseids Meteor Shower 2026
- 12:30 PM - Sky Decoding & Mapping Session
- 01:00 AM - Q&A Session
- Naked-eye observation of the meteors throughout the night.
- Telescope observation throughout the evening (Saturn and deep sky objects).
- Phone photography of celestial objects through the telescopes.

The venue for the event is Jebel Jais - RAK
A precise location pin will be sent by email after you registration.
A 4x4 is not required to reach the location
A 4×4 car is not required to reach the event location.

You are requested to bring any form of identification with you to be presented at the venue upon request.

Although we will be providing mats/seating and water, you are requested to carry any necessities you might need over the period of the event (snacks, jackets, seats, etc.).
We don't recommend using public transport
Taxis or any other public transportation might not be able to reach this location. plan accordingly.
Children Policy
Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket; however, we do not recommend bringing them to our events. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent, and parents are required to purchase a ticket.
