Dubai Astronomy Group is a non-profit organization passionate about making astronomy accessible, engaging, and unforgettable for everyone. Founded in 2000 by Hasan Ahmad Al Hariri, we are the UAE's only licensed astronomy NGO. Through curated events, hands-on experiences, and educational programs, we bring people closer to the wonders of the universe.

We offer a wide range of astronomy experiences and programs including Astro Tourism, School Programs, Corporate Programs, Courses & Training, Astronomy & Project Consultancy, and an Astro Shop. We also host large-scale public celestial events throughout the year.

Absolutely. All of our events are designed to be welcoming for beginners. No prior astronomy knowledge is required, our expert guides walk you through everything, from identifying constellations to operating telescopes. Whether it's your first time looking through a telescope or you're a seasoned stargazer, there's something for everyone.

Yes, always. We bring professional-grade telescopes to all of our events. Our team sets them up and operates them throughout the night, so all you need to do is show up and look up.

It depends on the event. Some of our programs allow personal equipment, while others are better suited to the setup we provide. We recommend contacting us before the event to confirm whether bringing your own telescope is suitable for the specific program you're attending.

Yes, people of determination and one accompanying guest can attend our events free of charge. Contact our team for reservation.

Yes! Our events are suitable for children aged 5 and above. From age 5, children typically have the comprehension to engage with and enjoy the experience. Younger children are welcome to attend accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Children under the age of 5 do not need a ticket and can attend for free, as long as they are accompanied by an adult who holds a valid ticket.

Our events are held in open nature, which means you may encounter the natural elements of the desert environment — including insects, small animals, and uneven terrain. We take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and comfortable experience, but we encourage attendees to wear appropriate footwear (closed shoes/sports shoes), dress comfortably, and be mindful of their surroundings throughout the event.

Your safety and experience are our priority. If we are uncertain about weather conditions leading up to an event, we will reschedule the program and communicate with all registered attendees as early as possible. We monitor conditions closely and will always keep you informed.

The best time for stargazing in Dubai is during the winter season in the UAE, typically from October through March. The cooler temperatures, clearer skies, and lower humidity make for ideal conditions to observe the night sky in comfort.

Al Quaa in Abu Dhabi is widely regarded as one of the darkest stargazing locations in the UAE. Located deep in the desert, this area offers minimal light pollution and exceptional conditions for observing the Milky Way and deep-sky objects with the naked eye.
