Orionids Meteor Shower 2026

The Orionids are an annual meteor shower created by debris left behind by Comet 1P/Halley. As Earth passes through this debris stream, tiny particles enter our atmosphere at around 66 km/s, producing bright streaks of light known as meteors.
The meteors appear to radiate from the constellation Orion, giving the shower its name. At its peak, the Orionids can produce around 20 meteors per hour under ideal conditions. The Moon will remain visible throughout the night, and its brightness may reduce the visibility of fainter meteors.
Arrive at the desert, check in, get your wristband, settle in, and get ready for an unforgettable night under the stars.
