Geminids Meteor Shower 2026 (DAY 2)

Join us for Day 2 of our Geminids Meteor Shower experience at Al Khatim Desert, Abu Dhabi, as we gather under dark skies to witness one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year.
The Geminids are produced by debris from 3200 Phaethon, an unusual asteroid-like object, making them one of the few major meteor showers not associated with a traditional comet. With a Zenithal Hourly Rate (ZHR) of around 150 meteors per hour under ideal conditions, the Geminids are known for their bright, colourful meteors and occasional spectacular fireballs.
As we approach the peak of the shower on the night of 13–14 December, Day 2 offers another opportunity to experience the Geminids at their best. Throughout the evening, enjoy an engaging astronomy lecture, a Q&A session, telescope observations, astrophotography and guided sky mapping.
As the night deepens, we’ll focus on Geminids meteor watching and deep-sky observation, searching for meteors while exploring distant galaxies, nebulae and other celestial wonders through our telescopes.
Whether you’re an experienced stargazer or simply curious about the night sky, come spend an unforgettable evening under the stars and witness one of the most anticipated meteor showers of the year.
