Cold Supermoon – Final Supermoon of 2026

The Cold Moon is the traditional name commonly associated with the December Full Moon, reflecting the cold winter season in the Northern Hemisphere.
In 2026, the Cold Moon will also be a Supermoon, occurring when the Full Moon is near perigee, the closest point in the Moon’s elliptical orbit around Earth. As a result, it can appear slightly larger and brighter than a typical Full Moon.
