Beaver Moon (Supermoon)

The Beaver Moon is the traditional name given to the November Full Moon. The name is associated with the time of year when beavers prepare for winter and, historically, when beaver traps were set.
In 2026, the Beaver Moon will also be a Supermoon, occurring when the Full Moon takes place while the Moon is near perigee, the closest point to Earth in its elliptical orbit. This makes the Moon appear slightly larger and brighter than a typical Full Moon.
