Perseids Meteor Shower 2026 – Bonus Event
Every August, Earth passes through the trail of debris left behind by Comet Swift–Tuttle, creating the spectacular Perseids Meteor Shower.
In 2026, the Perseids peak on 12–13 August, with a New Moon providing exceptionally dark skies. Due to popular demand, Dubai Astronomy Group is adding one more night at Al Khatim Desert for an unforgettable evening of meteor watching, guided astronomy, telescope observations, and astrophotography.
After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email with the WhatsApp channel link. Join the channel to receive important updates, directions to the venue, parking information, and any event announcements.
A precise location pin will be sent by email after your registration is confirmed.
A standard car is enough to reach the event location.
The parking area is about 1 km from the event venue. A shuttle service will be available to transport guests to and from the event throughout the night.
Taxis and public transport cannot reach this location. Please plan your travel accordingly.
Closed-toe shoes are required for your safety and comfort.

Seating, water, snacks and hot drinks are provided. Bring jackets, extra layers, or anything else you might need.

The weather is expected to be hot and warm. Sudden weather changes like cloud cover, haziness, or humidity are beyond our control.
Alcohol, smoking, open flames/BBQs, and pets are not permitted at our events. We aim to keep the experience clean, safe, and family-friendly for everyone attending.
The nearest fuel station is ADNOC Service Station - Al Khatam (975), located approximately 25 minutes from the event venue. Or the Al Faya Service Station (891) around 35 minutes away.
The event venue is approximately 2 hours' drive from Dubai and Sharjah. We recommend allowing extra travel time to ensure you arrive before the event begins.
