Dubai Astronomy Group in partnership with SEE Institute and The Sustainable City is set to inspire young explorers this summer with its biggest Summer Space Camp series yet, featuring four immersive educational programmes designed to bring the wonders of space closer to the next generation through hands-on learning, scientific exploration, and STEM-based activities.

Designed for young explorers aged 7–15, the Summer Space Camps provide participants with the opportunity to learn from expert astronomers, explore scientific concepts through interactive activities, conduct experiments, experience planetarium sessions, and observe the sky using professional telescopes.

Each camp offers a unique adventure, allowing students to explore different aspects of space science, from the origins of the Universe and the search for life beyond Earth, to sustainability, human spaceflight, and the future of exploration.

Four Unique Space Adventures

What’s Beyond – Summer Camp

Participants will travel beyond our Solar System to explore some of the biggest questions in astronomy, from the birth of the Universe and the formation of galaxies to exoplanets and the search for life beyond Earth.

Through hands-on activities, students will build galaxy models, design their own alien planets, explore scientific theories, learn the basics of astrophotography, and experience guided telescope observations under the night sky.

The three-day programme combines expert-led astronomy sessions, interactive experiments, and practical activities, allowing participants to explore the Universe while developing scientific curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Earth & Sustainability in Space – Summer Camp

Our journey into space begins by understanding our own planet. This camp takes young explorers on a mission to discover Earth’s systems, the importance of protecting natural resources, and how space technology helps scientists monitor and solve environmental challenges.

Through a combination of astronomy, sustainability, and hands-on STEM activities, participants will explore energy, water, food, waste management, and planetary science while discovering how lessons from space can inspire a more sustainable future on Earth.

Astronaut Academy – Summer Camp

Get ready for a mission beyond Earth! Astronaut Academy invites young explorers to experience the world of human spaceflight and discover what it takes to live, work, and explore in space. From astronaut training and spacecraft systems to the challenges of long-duration missions, participants will step into the role of future space explorers.

Through interactive activities, mission-based challenges, and STEM experiences, students will learn about the realities of space travel, the technology that supports astronauts, and the skills required for successful missions beyond our planet.

The Future of Space – Summer Camp

The future of humanity extends beyond Earth. This camp takes young innovators on a journey into the next era of space exploration, exploring the technologies, ideas, and missions that will shape our future among the stars.

Through interactive activities and STEM experiences, participants will discover how engineers, scientists, and space pioneers are developing solutions for future missions, from advanced spacecraft and space habitats to new technologies that could transform life both on Earth and beyond.
