Milky Way Astrophotography Course

Availability:
This course is only available during periods when the Milky Way is visible after 6:00 PM. Scheduling depends on the Milky Way season, moon phase, weather, and sky clarity.

What’s needed:
Participants need to bring a camera and a tripod.
A DSLR or mirrorless camera is ideal, preferably with a wide-angle lens. The camera should allow manual settings for exposure, ISO, aperture, and focus. A sturdy tripod is required for long-exposure night photography.

A premium field-based astrophotography course focused on capturing the Milky Way from one of the UAE’s best-known dark-sky locations.
This course is designed for participants who want to learn how to photograph the Milky Way using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, wide-angle lens, tripod, and practical night-sky shooting techniques.

What you’ll learn:
Participants are guided through the full Milky Way photography workflow, from planning the shoot and choosing the right timing to camera setup, focusing in the dark, capturing clean exposures, and processing the final image during a dedicated online session.

Core outcome:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to plan, capture, and process Milky Way images from dark-sky locations in the UAE.
Participants will learn how to use their camera confidently at night, compose Milky Way shots, and turn their captured images into a clean and detailed astrophotography result.
