The Conjunction of Moon & Mars

A ‘conjunction’ is the name given to two or more celestial objects close together in the night sky. We will be able to observe a Moon and Mars conjunction on the evening of the 17th of April.
Join us at Al Thuraya Astronomy Center and observe the conjunction of the Moon and Mars in the holy month of Ramadan.

• Pre-registration is REQUIRED!
• Mushrif Park entrance is AED 10 per car or AED 3 per person through Nol Card. The price is separate from the ticket fee.
• You can purchase/recharge your Nol Card at the Park Gate.
• Masks are MANDATORY!
• Social distancing must be practiced at all times.
• The tickets for this event are limited.
• Please bring the hard copy or soft copy of the event ticket email (Email includes a QR Code) to ensure a smooth and fast check-in.
• Dubai Astronomy Group paid members are requested to bring their membership ID card to be presented upon request.
• The observation time is very limited because Moon & Mars will set at around 8:30 PM. Each person will get a limited time to observe the phenomenon with the assistance of our staff.
• There will be several telescopes set up and each registrant will be assigned to one, you will get to observe through one telescope only as the view is identical in all the other telescopes. The event is time-limited and we wish for everyone to get a chance to observe the phenomenon.
• Images of the phenomenon will be shared with everyone through our social media after the event.
