DESCRIPTION:About the event\n\n\nThe 2026 Perseid meteor shower will peak on the night of August 12–13\, 2026\, offering ideal viewing conditions. A new moon ensures completely dark skies\, allowing for high visibility\, with the best viewing time being the predawn hours of August 13. Observers can expect up to 50–100 meteors per hour. \n\n\nEvent Program\n\n\n - 11:00 PM - Event Introduction \n - 11:20 PM - Talk: Perseids Meteor Shower 2026 \n - 12:30 PM - Sky Decoding & Mapping Session \n - 01:00 AM - Q&A Session \n - Naked-eye observation of the meteors throughout the night. \n - Telescope observation throughout the evening (Saturn and deep sky objects). \n - Phone photography of celestial objects through the telescopes. \n\n\nEvent Terms\n\n\nThe venue for the event is Jebel Jais - RAKA precise location pin will be sent by email after you registration.  \n\n\nA 4x4 is not required to reach the locationA 4×4 car is not required to reach the event location. \n\n\nYou're requested to bring along your ID or PassportYou are requested to bring any form of identification with you to be presented at the venue upon request. \n\n\nPlease bring a screenshot of the event ticket EmailPlease bring a screenshot (on your phone) of the event ticket that contains a QR code to ensure a smooth check-in process. \n\n\npCarry any necessities you might deem necessaryAlthough we will be providing mats/seating and water\, you are requested to carry any necessities you might need over the period of the event (snacks\, jackets\, seats\, etc.). \n\n\nWe don't recommend using public transportTaxis or any other public transportation might not be able to reach this location. plan accordingly. \n\n\nChildren PolicyChildren under the age of 5 do not require a ticket; however\, we do not recommend bringing them to our events.
